Singles Day - Breakdown

Singles Day, is an annual event hosted at Red Lion Recording Studio. This unique opportunity invites bands of all proficiency levels to collaborate with our seasoned engineers and producers, utilize our world class gear, and cutting-edge technology and leave with a professional master. 

Set up and GO! When your band loads into our live room We will get instuments and headphone mixes set up. We will have a drum kit miced and ready to go as well as cabs so you will just need to pick an amp or bring a head with you. The vocalist can drop some scratch vocals to keep everyone on track.

Quick heads up: Practice makes perfect! Come in knowing your stuff because we've got just over an hour at each station. So, be ready to bring the energy and nail those parts!

Now that the foundation is laid we will overdub the lead vocals to make sure they come through perfect and powerful. If there is additional time we can also record any vocal harmonies, gang vocals, and or doubbles. 

In this final section we will get into the "hot box", control room, and mix the song down to a stereo file. Our Mixing engineer will run the mix through our API board and utilize the best analog and digital processors to create a modern big mix that Red Lion Recording Studio is known for.  

Now its time to enjoy your work! Listen to your song on the way home and upload it to the streaming platforms to share with the world. This is the fun part!

A: We will have a drum kit, and guitar and bass cabs miced and ready to go so you wont have to bring the big stuff.  If you would like to use your own guitars, pedal boards, cymbals, and kick pedal, you may bring them as well as a demo of the song you'll be tracking. This can be something simple like an iphone voice memo or something similar to get an idea of the song.

A: Your completed song! A fully tracked and mixed song that is complete and ready to be released on any streaming platform. We will supply you with a .wav file compatable with all streaming platforms

A: you will leave with a fully mixed song however if you want mix adjustments after the session we can do this for you. Mix revisions are possible and you will receive a discounted rate for the time you book during mix revisions. 

A: Of course friends and family are welcome but please keep in mind that each station is run by a producer and outside input can really derail the process.

We can do it either way. If you choose to record to a click track, we will have more editing capabilities especially when it comes to drums. Please rehearse playing to your click before coming to the studio.
